The news lately has been filled with uncertainty, and it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the conflict in our broader region.
Yet, I am incredibly proud and happy to call the UAE home - a country that has given me a wonderful life for which I will forever be grateful.
This gratitude is a big part of why starting Kids Garden has been an absolute joy for me. My core vision from the beginning was simple: to teach children about gardening in a fun, engaging way and to watch their curiosity and imagination spark.
Building a small business is a slow process, and getting traction can certainly be a challenge. But moments like yesterday make every hurdle worth it. I had the privilege of hosting our first-ever kids' event for eight children right next door at a neighbor's house. What a feeling it was to watch them dive into our DIY Grow Kits.
I saw pure joy and engagement from both the parents and the kids - from the excitement of opening the packaging, to adding water to the soil and watching it magically expand, to carefully planting those tiny seeds. It made me want to create our Grow Kit Instruction Manual very quickly.
The feedback from the parents was incredibly supportive. In fact, one parent even recommended us to a local children's event company here in the UAE. They have already reached out for a meeting, and I am beyond excited to explore hosting our next event!
I wanted to write this to share the profound joy of seeing the hard work behind the scenes come to life. Even in challenging times when our resilience is tested, we can truly see the fruits of our labor.
